RS Electric Boats Powers On-Water Operations at the Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix | Portsmouth

From July 19-20 the Solent will come to life as the most exciting racing on water – Rolex SailGP – makes its highly anticipated return to the UK, for the Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix | Portsmouth. As some of the world’s best athletes go head-to-head in an adrenaline-fuelled spectacle of speed and style, RS Electric Boats will be proudly supporting the event with the RS Pulse 63, our revolutionary zero-emission electric RIB.

This collaboration underscores SailGP’s continued commitment to innovation, aligning perfectly with our ethos at RS Electric Boats. Our flagship model, the RS Pulse 63, will serve as a support boat during the race weekend, helping ensure smooth operations both on and off the water – all while producing zero emissions.

“We’re incredibly excited to be part of such a prestigious and forward-thinking event,” said Alex Newton-Southon, Managing Director of RS Electric Boats. “SailGP represents the very best in elite racing and innovation. Being able to support it with the RS Pulse 63 showcases how electric marine technology can play a vital role in the future of water sports and marine operations.”

The RS Pulse 63: Redefining the Electric RIB

The RS Pulse 63 is the world’s first fully integrated electric RIB designed from the ground up with sustainability, performance, and user experience at its core. With an advanced electric drive system, dynamic hull design, and a smart energy management system, the RS Pulse 63 offers not only zero emissions but also near-silent operation and exceptional handling. It’s purpose-built for commercial and leisure use, setting new standards in electric marine mobility.

The Most Exciting Racing on Water – This is SailGP

The Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix | Portsmouth is more than just a race – it’s a celebration of fearless competition, innovation, and premium waterfront entertainment. Set against the historic backdrop of Portsmouth, this year’s event delivers “edge-of-your-seat racing” just metres from the shoreline.

Southsea Common will transform into a racing stadium like no other, where fans can witness F50 foiling catamarans fly across the water at speeds up to 60mph. With the Après-Sail experience bringing headline performances from Tom Grennan (Saturday) and Pete Tong (Sunday), the action continues long after the racing finishes.

And for those seeking the ultimate race-day indulgence, the Waterfront Premium Lounge presented by La Folie Douce x Ollie Dabbous promises gourmet dining, live DJ sets, and champagne toasts – all with front-row views of high-speed racing.

As the world tunes in to witness this iconic stop on the SailGP calendar, RS Electric Boats proudly demonstrates that performance and innovation can go hand in hand.
