Zero Marine’s state-of-the-art RS Pulse 63 has officially completed its maiden voyage, performing crucial quarterly maintenance works for the Rochester Bridge Trust between the 17th and 21st March 2025.
Zero Marine recently took delivery of their brand-new RS Pulse 63 zero-emissions RIB, integrating it into their pioneering net-zero charter fleet, where it will continue to support sustainable maritime operations.
Paul Clarke, Owner of Zero Marine, praised the Rochester Bridge Trust for its leadership in environmental stewardship: “Rochester Bridge Trust are the standard bearer in terms of carbon commitments and achievements. We have had the privilege of working alongside them since May 2022, providing zero-emission services, including electric boats.”
The maintenance task involved replacing ‘no-mooring’ signs, with the RS Pulse 63 providing exceptional performance throughout. The boat’s unique RAD drive system and innovative hull design allowed for precise manoeuvrability, even in challenging tidal conditions, ensuring safe docking alongside piers.
“Thanks to the RS Pulse 63’s exceptional handling, we were able to safely navigate the strong tides and approach the piers with ease,” said Paul. “The RIB’s unique steering angles allowed us to complete the task smoothly and efficiently.”
Bridge Trust engineers were also aboard during the river trial, conducting surveys of the bridges’ structures.
The RS Pulse 63’s deployment is part of Zero Marine’s broader commitment to advancing sustainable maritime solutions under the ZENOW project – an initiative dedicated to propelling the future of zero-emission marine operations.
