ECO-FRIENDLY

ELECTRIC BOATS

MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Protect your waterways and work or play at the same time with an eco-friendly electric RIB from RS Electric Boats. Using emissions-free propulsion and sustainable materials in key areas, we’re working hard to help protect the planet so you can enjoy the ocean with the peace of mind that you’re helping reduce water and air pollution.
Time on our seas and lakes should be available for everyone to enjoy, now and in the future, and in harmony with nature. Our mission is to make a difference by giving you the ability to turn the tide and make our waterways cleaner.

SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS

PET CORE

The hull core is made from recycled plastic bottles

  • 100% recyclable
  • DNV and GL certified

  • Outstanding fatigue resistance
  • Closed cell: limited water & resin absorption
  • Corrosion resistant
  • Excellent mechanical properties
Natural Flax Fibre

Biotex Flax 200 g/m² 2×2 Twill Biotex Flax

  • 100% bio-derived fabric
  • Sustainable
  • Ease of processing
  • Low-twist technology
  • Lightweight
  • Vibration damping
  • Stiff
RECYCLED CARBON FIBRE

Key components of the Pulse 63 are made from recycled carbon fibre.

The award-winning process developed by ELG (now Net Zero) and MTAG Composites, prevents scrap carbon fibre from ending up in landfill. MTAG infuses the dry scrap material so the composite lay-up can be positioned precisely and infused in either a closed tool, or silicone bags (manufactured in-house by MTAG).

LIFE CYCLE ANALYSIS

By using the MarineShift360 life cycle assessment (LCA) tool, we’ve gained an understanding of the environmental footprint of our electric boats.

As a result, we have modified our manufacturing techniques and production materials to help reduce our use of carbon and promote the use of sustainable and recyclable materials.

RE-USE, RECYCLE

The Pulse 63 is built using sustainable materials wherever possible. The interior deck, floor, console, engine box and hatches are built from recycled carbon fibre, with recycled PET core as required.

Drawing on experience gained whilst developing the sustainable construction of RS sailboats, RS Electric Boats uses the most sustainable laminate of any RIB in the industry. This innovative laminate is lightweight, long-lasting and incredibly strong.

ZERO EMISSIONS PROPULSION

Reduce your carbon footprint with our revolutionary 100% electric propulsion system that is completely emissions-free. Plus, with the Pulse 63’s virtually silent engine, noise pollution is reduced too.

ENERGY EFFICIENT

ONLY USE THE ENERGY YOU NEED

The lightweight hull of the Pulse 63 has been extensively tested and modified to ensure it is highly efficient when moving through the water.

Our expert design team has also worked hard to create a unique propulsion PDU system that generates optimum power and ensures minimal wasted energy – helping to protect the planet and save you money.

NO WATER POLLUTION

KIND TO WILDLIFE

According to the RYA’s Green Blue initiative, just one litre of oil can pollute one million litres of water! Most of this pollution is caused by everyday oil leaks, refuelling and engine emissions.

The Pulse 63 electric RIB doesn’t require petrol or diesel and very little oil, so it is far less likely to cause harm to our waterways and wildlife. Electric RIBs are a great way to significantly reduce water pollution.

VIRTUALLY SILENT

NO NOISE POLLUTION

Scientific research suggests that noisy petrol and diesel boat engines can have detrimental effects on marine wildlife. The noise can prevent fish from hearing predators, hinder navigation for partially sighted mammals and even impact breeding cycles.

The Pulse 63 electric RIB is virtually silent so it causes minimal disturbance to marine wildlife above and below the surface.
