RS Electric Boats will join sister company, RS Sailing, at the RYA Dinghy & Watersports Show at Farnborough International Exhibition Centre, 26 – 27 February 2022.
The event takes on a new theme this year with more than just dinghy sailing on offer; windsurfing, wingsurfing & foiling, paddleboarding and much more will be there to explore.
Plus, we be exhibiting our first production, ready-to-buy, Pulse 63 electric RIB with a special Coaching/Fleet Support Specification. So come along and learn about the benefits of switching to electric propulsion for sailing event support boats. You’ll find us on the RS Sailing stand.
Electric Boats for Sailing Events
When RS Sailing carried out a MarineShift360 life cycle assessment, the team discovered that one of the most harmful aspects of sailing regattas is the amount of toxic emissions created by fossil-fuel engines that power fleet-support boats.
So, the team set about finding a way to address the problem, and help protect the oceans; RS Electric Boats was born!
The Pulse 63 is the world’s first electric RIB with a fully integrated electric drive. With zero emissions propulsion, no oil pollution, minimal wake and an almost silent motor, the Pulse 63 is incredibly eco-friendly. Plus, it acts just like a standard RIB so the transition to electric is straightforward!
As a marine business, we believe we have a duty to do everything we can to prevent further damage to the natural playgrounds that we love, and this has been a huge driving force behind the development of RS Electric Boats.
